Design Verification Engineer — Memory Subsystem The Design Verification Engineer joins the memory subsystem verification team to manage the complete verification lifecycle for complex digital designs. Daily responsibilities include building reusable components like drivers, monitors, scoreboards, and sequence libraries while performing root-cause analysis on simulation failures using waveform viewers and transaction databases. The role requires proficiency in Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM, and formal verification methodologies to validate memory controllers, PHY-related logic, and custom interfaces. Candidates must possess expertise in JEDEC specifications and high-performance memory technologies including DDR, LPDDR, and HBM. This position addresses the technical challenges of verifying multi-clock-domain designs, power-aware simulations using UPF, and complex memory operations such as training, refresh, and error-handling across various operating modes.

What you'll do

  • Develop verification strategies, test plans, and coverage plans for complex RTL designs.
  • Build and maintain reusable SystemVerilog/UVM environments including drivers, monitors, scoreboards, and agents.
  • Create and execute constrained-random, directed, and error-injection tests to verify memory subsystems.
  • Write and maintain SystemVerilog Assertions for protocol, interface, timing, and functional verification.
  • Analyze simulation failures using waveform viewers and logs to perform root-cause analysis.
  • Verify memory-controller, PHY-interface, and memory-subsystem functionality across multiple operating modes.
  • Drive functional, code, assertion, and coverage closure for high-performance digital designs.
  • Review microarchitecture specifications and design changes for functional correctness and verifiability.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field (required for 4+ years experience).
  • Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field (required for 3+ years experience).
  • PhD in Science, Engineering, or a related field (required for 2+ years experience).
  • 3–10 years of experience in ASIC, SoC, IP, or subsystem design verification.
  • Hands-on experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM, and SystemVerilog Assertions.
  • Experience developing reusable UVM-based environments including sequences, drivers, monitors, scoreboards, and functional coverage models.
  • Proficiency in constrained-random verification, coverage-driven methodologies, and simulation-based debugging.
  • Experience with memory technologies (LPDDR, DDR, HBM), JEDEC specifications, or power-aware simulation using UPF (preferred).
