About FindRole

A job board for software and technology roles — and a public dataset built from it.

What FindRole is

FindRole indexes open software and technology roles and helps people find the ones worth applying to. It tracks 23,289 live postings from 294 employers. Browsing, searching, saving roles and the free tools cost nothing and need no account; resume-to-job AI matching is the paid tier.

Everything published here — the salary pages, the market statistics, the job feeds — is computed from that same corpus of real, applyable openings. No survey data, no licensed third-party salary database, no estimates modelled from job titles.

Where the listings come from

Postings are collected from employers' own career pages and applicant tracking systems — the source of record, not a resold aggregator feed. Each posting is re-checked on a nightly cycle; roles that disappear from the employer's site are removed. Every listing links out to the employer's original application page, and FindRole is never in the middle of an application.

Structured fields — job title, seniority, skills, location, salary range — are extracted from the posting text by language models, then checked against the source text. That extraction is good but not perfect, and the methodology page documents exactly how each figure is computed, what sample sizes a page must clear before it publishes, and where the known limits are.

Who publishes it

FindRole is an independently operated, self-funded product, built and run in the United States. It is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any of the employers whose roles it indexes, and no employer pays for placement, ranking or inclusion — the ranking code has no advertiser input of any kind. Revenue comes from subscriptions paid by job seekers, and nothing else.
