Job Summary:

As the Security Engineer II at Endeavor Health, you will be responsible for enhancements and continuous improvement of the cybersecurity posture of the organization while maintaining a high-level of vigilance to safeguard the organization’s data, systems, and resources. This role involves participating in the development and execution of the enterprise security strategy; managing and communicating security policies, procedures, and standards to application and business owners; conducting system reviews to ensure compliance with security requirements; execution of risk management and governance tasks; and leading complex security incident investigation and response activities. The Security Engineer II will also design and implement security controls for various applications, devices, and systems; oversee security for internal and external systems; and mentor junior staff. Individuals should be proficient in using advanced security tooling. Responsibilities extend to conducting compliance audits; delivering cybersecurity projects; and ensuring alignment with HIPAA, PCI, and other applicable laws, regulations, and standards. This hybrid role, which may include a 24/7 on-call support rotation, requires excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills. To be successful in this role, you will be expected to stay up to date on the latest solutions and technologies and advocate for the adoption of security and architecture best practices for the enterprise

What you will do:

• Lead security incident response and recovery processes and activities
• Design and implement security technologies and process as directed by leadership.
• Manage, administer, monitor, and support 2-3 security applications. Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to cybersecurity technologies.
• Measure and report on enterprise security capabilities using automated and manual tools
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards and standard operating procedures.
• Socialize security strategies, standards, policies, procedures, communications, and awareness efforts with IT and business partners.
• Participate in reviews of new or existing systems to ensure security requirements are satisfied, including performing various types of risk and impact assessments.
• Develop, maintain, audit, and enhance enterprise security controls.
• Develop security awareness training and communications collateral.
• Respond to and assist with audits, assessments and compliance requests.
• Assist with system-wide compliance of the HIPAA Security and Privacy rules, Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards, and other appropriate standards and audit requirements.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with peers to address any incidents as they are assigned.
• Conduct complex security incident reviews and investigations.
• Execute all other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in a technical discipline, or a corresponding educational background with professional-level security certifications relevant to the role.
• Certifications: One advanced, professional, or expert-level security certification

Experience:

• Minimum three (3) years of mid-level Cybersecurity experience at an analyst or engineer level.
• Previous experience leading, supporting, managing, and administering at least one application
• Previous experience leading security projects and initiatives.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight on a broad range of security projects and initiatives.
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of information security principles, practices, solutions, and capabilities.
• Demonstrated understanding of advanced security incident investigation techniques.
• Intermediate understanding of threats and risks.
• Intermediate-level knowledge of network, application, and systems security architecture.
• Experience with desktop, server, network, database, and application security controls.
• Experience with common security testing methods and tool sets such as email security, data loss prevention (DLP), vulnerability management, IDS/IPS, EDR, anti-malware, and proxy tools.
• Leadership and project management skills.
• Proven communication, customer service, and organization skills.
• Previous experience with HIPAA, NIST, and project management.

Job Summary:

The Cloud Data Engineer is considered a subject matter expert, involved with all phases of software development from design to implementation to post implementation problem solving. This position is easily able to code, tests, debugs and documents program applications specific to their team. May be required to develop application designs, devise or modify procedures to solve system software or user problems and prepare detailed specifications. This position may be required to mentor peers and provide educational/informational sessions to improve workflows, troubleshooting or system design pertaining to their team.

What you will do:

• Assist in designing and implementing scalable cloud data architectures using Snowflake and Azure.
• Support the setup and configuration of Snowflake environments (warehouses, roles, resource monitors, data sharing).
• Work with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Key Vault, and Azure Active Directory.
• Collaborate with data engineers to design and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Help optimize Snowflake performance (clustering, partitioning, query optimization, warehouse sizing).
• Assist in implementing role-based access control (RBAC) within Snowflake and Azure.
• Support data security strategies including encryption, masking, and row/column-level security.
• Monitor system performance and cost usage in Snowflake and Azure.
• Support cost optimization strategies and resource scaling.
• Troubleshoot data load and performance issues.
• Document architecture designs, data flows, and standards.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, data engineers, BI teams, and security teams.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to architecture best practices.

What you will need:

• Education: 4-year college degree in computer science/information systems preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
• 4+ years of enterprise data warehouse industry experience
• 2+ years of experience in cloud data engineering or cloud platform support
• 4+ years of experience with data architecture and implementing data warehouse data marts
• Understanding of cloud networking basics (VNet, private endpoints, firewall rules)
• Hands-on experience with:
• Snowflake (data loading, SQL development, warehouse management)
• Microsoft Azure (ADF, Blob Storage, IAM concepts)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps concepts
• Informatica Power Center/ Cloud Data Integration experience a plus
• 4+ years of experience in writing complex SQL
• Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, issue resolution and facilitation skills are required
• Excellent written and verbal communication and decision-making skills
• Experience and understanding of data sources including 3rd party RDBMS, SQL server and Oracle

A Brief Overview:

As the IAM Security Engineer II serves as a senior technical resource responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Identity and Access Management solutions that ensure secure and compliant access to Endeavor Health systems and data. This role requires deep understanding and expertise in IGA platforms, automation, governance, as well as experience with healthcare-specific applications and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and NIST. The IAM Security Engineer will partner with security, compliance, HR, and clinical teams to deliver robust identity lifecycle management, privileges access controls, and authentication/authorization solutions for the Endeavor Healthcare organization. The IAM Security Engineer II will also design and implement security IAM policies for various devices and systems, oversee security for internal and external systems, and mentor junior staff. Candidates should be proficient in using source code editor tools and programming/scripting languages. Responsibilities extend to participating in compliance audits, managing IAM projects, and ensuring alignment with HIPAA, and other applicable laws and regulations and/or standards. This mostly remote role includes a 24/7 on-call rotation and requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

What you will do:

· Lead the configuration, integration, and management of IAM solutions across the organization.

· Design and configure role-based access and attribute-based access controls for automation and birthright access.

· Configure and manage access certification campaigns for entitlements, roles, and elevated access for regulatory compliance needs.

· Implement and support privileged access controls using solutions like Delinea or MS Entra PIM for admin accounts, break-glass access, and clinical application elevated privileges.

· Enforce multi-factor authentication (MFA) and just-in-time access for privileged accounts.

· Develop and maintain integrations between IAM platforms and EHR systems, cloud services, and on-prem applications.

· Create scripts, APIs, and workflows to streamline access user lifecycle management.

· Ensure IAM systems meet HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI, DSS, NIST CSF, and other healthcare regulatory requirements.

· Configure and support Single Sign-on (SSO) integrations using SAML, OAuth, or OpenID Connect for internal and third-party applications.

· Participate in security incident response, including rapid access revocation and forensic investigations.

· Serve as a technical mentor for junior IAM engineers and analysts.

· Lead complex IAM projects and act as a subject matter expert for cross-functional initiatives.

· Socializes strategies, standards, policies, procedures, communications, and awareness efforts with business partners.

· Participates in reviews of new or existing systems to ensure IAM requirements are satisfied, prior to implementation, including performing pre-deployment and as-built risk assessments.

· Design policies and standard operational procedures (SOP) as required for IAM, PAM, and access management solutions
