IT Security Engineer II

What you'll do

• Lead complex security incident investigations, response, and recovery processes.
• Architect, design, and implement security technologies and processes for applications and systems.
• Manage, administer, and monitor 2-3 security applications including cloud (Azure) and SOAR tools.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and system reviews to ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI, and other regulations.
• Automate security operations to reduce organizational risk and deliver measurable value.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to address assigned security incidents.
• Cross-train team members on operational processes and mentor junior staff.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional-level security certifications.
• One advanced, professional, or expert-level security certification (preferred).
• Minimum three years of mid-level cybersecurity experience at an analyst or engineer level.
• Previous experience leading, supporting, managing, and administering at least one security application.
• Previous experience leading security projects and initiatives.
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of information security principles, practices, solutions, and capabilities (preferred).
• Significant experience with security controls for desktop, server, network, database, cloud, and application environments (preferred).
• Experience with common security tools including DLP, SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, and SOAR (preferred).
