IT Security Engineer II

What you'll do

• Conduct complex security incident investigations and lead recovery processes.
• Architect, design, and implement security technologies and controls for various systems.
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot 2-3 core security applications.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI, and other regulations.
• Automate security operations to reduce organizational risk and improve efficiency.
• Measure and report on enterprise security capabilities using automated and manual tools.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to address urgent security incidents.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience with professional security certifications.
• One advanced, professional, or expert-level security certification (preferred).
• Minimum of three years of mid-level cybersecurity experience at an analyst or engineer level.
• Experience leading, supporting, managing, and administering at least one security application.
• Experience leading security projects and initiatives.
• Demonstrated knowledge of information security principles, incident investigation techniques, and network/system architecture (preferred).
• Significant experience with security controls, asset inventory, threat detection, and SOAR capabilities (preferred).
• Experience with common security tools such as DLP, SIEM, EDR/XDR, and cloud security platforms (preferred).
