IT Security Engineer II

What you'll do

• Lead complex security incident investigations and execute recovery processes.
• Architect, design, and implement security technologies and controls for various systems.
• Manage, administer, and monitor 2-3 security applications to reduce organizational risk.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and system reviews to ensure compliance with HIPAA and PCI standards.
• Measure and report on enterprise security capabilities using automated and manual tools.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to address assigned security incidents.
• Cross-train team members on operational processes and security best practices.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent educational background with professional-level security certifications.
• One advanced, professional, or expert-level security certification (preferred).
• Minimum three years of mid-level cybersecurity experience at an analyst or engineer level.
• Previous experience leading, supporting, managing, and administering at least one security application.
• Previous experience leading security projects and initiatives.
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of information security principles, practices, solutions, and capabilities (preferred).
• Significant experience with hardware and software asset inventory, configuration management, threat detection, and incident response (preferred).
• Experience with common security testing methods and tool sets such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, and DLP (preferred).
