Director, Clinical Applications

What you'll do

• Manage the operational performance, stability, and lifecycle management of clinical applications in procedural areas.
• Direct day-to-day application support operations including incident management, escalations, and change control processes.
• Lead the planning, configuration, testing, and implementation of new technology solutions and system optimizations.
• Translate business requirements from stakeholders into technical specifications to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure systems meet performance standards and contractual agreements.
• Mentor direct reports by overseeing budgets, talent management, and policy development.
• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for clinical applications to drive innovation and process improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure application decisions align with enterprise security and infrastructure standards.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience managing processes, applications, or systems in a healthcare setting or relevant industry.
• Leadership experience is essential for this role.
• Experience supporting Procedural Clinical Application areas such as Anesthesia, Labs, LIS, Epic Beaker, and Epic Optime is preferred.
• Strong technical skills and an understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills are required.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects with efficiency and identify, plan, and execute strategic initiatives.
• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking for problem solving and issue resolution.
