Director, Clinical Applications

What you'll do

• Own operational performance and support for the assigned applications portfolio to ensure system stability and timely issue resolution.
• Direct day-to-day application support operations including incident management, escalations, on-call coverage, and change control processes.
• Lead the planning, technical setup, building, testing, training, and deployment of new solution implementations and optimizations.
• Establish and monitor performance metrics such as uptime and ticket resolution time to drive continuous improvement.
• Translate business requirements from domain leaders into technical specifications that support ease of business operations.
• Manage ongoing vendor relationships to ensure systems and solutions meet or exceed organizational needs and support agreements.
• Mentor direct reports on capital and operating budgets, policy development, talent management, and stakeholder relationship maintenance.
• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for assigned areas to identify opportunities for technology and process improvement.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in technology, Computer Science, or a relevant related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least five years of experience managing processes, applications, or systems in a healthcare or related industry.
• At least three years of leadership experience.
• Prior experience supporting Procedural Clinical Application areas including Anesthesia, Labs, LIS, Epic Beaker, or Epic Optime (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills (preferred).
• Strong technical skills and understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects with efficiency (preferred).
• Significant domain knowledge and interpersonal skills (preferred).
