The NVIDIA VLSI team seeks a Senior Cell Modeling and Verification Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge ASIC products. This role involves working closely with new hardware designs to ensure they meet design, feature, and quality objectives by developing behavioral models and verification for custom mixed-signal cells using Verilog, SystemVerilog, Perl, or Python. The engineer will collaborate across teams on library build, cell integration, and DFT simulation while documenting and delivering high-performance RTL code. Ideal candidates have a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience in RTL simulation and waveform debug, strong Verilog knowledge, scripting skills in Python or Perl, and the ability to work effectively across multiple groups.
Develop behavioral models and verification for custom mixed-signal design cells used across NVIDIA products.
Use Verilog, SystemVerilog, Perl, or Python to model high-speed interconnects like PLL in mixed-signal designs.
Implement and deliver fully verified RTL code to meet performance targets for ASIC projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on library build, cell integration, and DFT simulation processes.
Document design methodologies and verification strategies for mixed-signal hardware components.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
3+ years of relevant hardware design and verification experience.
Proficiency in Verilog HDL for RTL simulation and waveform debugging.
Scripting skills with Python or Perl for automation tasks.
Strong understanding of digital design principles and logic concepts.
Experience collaborating across multiple engineering teams effectively.
