As an ASIC Engineer, Project Leo, you will join a project team to support the design, debug, validation, and optimization of custom silicon solutions. The role requires proficiency in RTL coding, SystemVerilog, C/C++, and modern ASIC/FPGA design tools. This position focuses on developing custom silicon for a low Earth orbit satellite network designed to provide reliable internet connectivity to remote locations and underserved areas.

What you'll do

Participate in logic design, verification, and post-silicon validation for custom silicon solutions.
Collaborate with physical design teams to meet specific performance, area, and power requirements.
Develop and execute automated design mechanisms and workflows.
Analyze and balance trade-offs regarding power, performance, and area (PPA) during the design process.
Support engineering builds and manage high-volume manufacturing processes.
Translate customer requirements into technical specifications for system architecture and SoC micro-architecture.
Perform RTL coding and debugging using SystemVerilog and C/C++.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status due to export control laws.
Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in RTL coding and debug, including performance, power, area analysis, and trade-offs is required.
Proficiency in C/C++ and SystemVerilog coding is required.
Experience with modern ASIC and FPGA design and verification tools is required.
Experience working with physical design teams to develop optimized ASICs for power, performance, and area is required.
Experience troubleshooting technical systems or demonstrating software engineering skills through work, internships, or competitions is required.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are required.
