TL;DR · ASIC Design Verification Engineer

The ASIC Design Verification Engineer will own the verification strategy and coverage closure for mixed-signal power management IP while contributing to block-level verification and RTL design. The role involves developing and executing system-level verification of the full SOC, including boot sequences, power state transitions, and firmware-driven behavior in co-simulation environments. Key responsibilities include building SystemVerilog/UVM testbench components, managing regression infrastructure, and verifying digital/analog interfaces using real-number models to ensure alignment with silicon intent. The candidate will utilize SystemVerilog, UVM, SVA, Verilog-AMS, and various simulation and debug tools to drive coverage closure before tape-out. This position addresses the technical challenge of verifying complex mixed-signal devices by bridging digital and analog boundaries, ensuring robust functionality across power management systems through rigorous test planning, assertion-based verification, and post-silicon bring-up support.

What you'll do

  • Own the verification strategy, test plan, and coverage closure for mixed-signal power management ICs.
  • Define functional and code coverage goals while tracking progress and reporting status to the project team.
  • Execute system-level verification of the full SOC, including boot sequences, power states, and fault scenarios.
  • Verify firmware-driven behavior through co-simulation of embedded firmware with RTL.
  • Build and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbench components, sequences, checkers, and assertions at the system level.
  • Verify digital/analog interfaces using real-number models (RNM) to ensure behavior matches silicon intent.
  • Contribute to SystemVerilog RTL design work and perform design reviews with the engineering team.
  • Support post-silicon bring-up by correlating silicon behavior back to pre-silicon test cases.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
  • Experience with SystemVerilog and UVM testbench development.
  • Experience with mixed-signal device verification at the system or SoC level.
  • Proficiency in Real-number modeling (RNM) of analog blocks using wreal, nettype real, or Verilog-AMS.
  • Experience with SystemVerilog RTL design in an ASIC environment.
  • Experience with firmware/RTL co-simulation or hardware/software co-verification.
  • Experience with formal verification, assertion-based verification (SVA), or emulation/FPGA prototyping.
  • Experience with post-silicon bring-up and debugging.
