As a Sr Platform Engineer, you’ll provide critical support for Appian Investment Applications within Pacific Life’s Institutional division. - Work directly with Technology and Business teams to understand the business process and requirements and provide them with end-user support.

The Experience you Bring:

- Appian Level 2 and/or 3 Certification
- Software development experience (.NET, Java, Visual Basic, C#, etc.)

As a Senior Systems Administrator on the Endpoint Engineering team, you will play a key role in Pacific Life’s long-term success by owning and managing endpoint operational support activities and driving initiatives that ensure end-user devices are built, deployed, and managed in a consistent, performant, and secure manner. You will collaborate closely with operations support personnel and endpoint engineers who are passionate about delivering a high-quality experience for our end-user community.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Partner across the organization to identify, evaluate, and resolve issues related to the client computing environment and endpoint technology solutions.
- Own the successful delivery of operational initiatives that improve the security, reliability, and compliance of the endpoint environment while maintaining an excellent end-user experience.
- Manage the Endpoint Engineering support queue, including prioritization, triage, and driving timely resolution of incidents and requests.
- Act as a point of escalation for the Service Desk and Desk Side teams, performing trend analysis and resolving complex or recurring technical issues.
- Develop, refine, and maintain operational metrics, key risk indicators (KRIs), and reporting related to endpoint health, compliance, and performance.
- Assist and mentor teammates through knowledge sharing, documentation, and hands-on guidance.
- Partner closely with Security teams to ensure Endpoint Engineering risk issues are tracked, remediated, and resolved within defined SLAs.
The Experience You Will Bring
- 4+ years of experience in systems administration with a focus on endpoint engineering and complex client computing issue resolution.
- 4+ years of experience supporting modern endpoint management platforms (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Jamf).
- 4+ years of experience in endpoint security, patching, compliance, and risk management practices.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Modern Workplace concepts and modern endpoint management in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Subject matter expertise in Microsoft systems and desktop technologies across physical and virtual environments, including service ownership within a tiered support model.
- Experience with VDI technologies, SSO, client patching tools, and core networking concepts.
- Proven track record of delivering operational projects in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.
- Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, concise, and effective messaging.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Deep technical expertise and a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex endpoint issues at scale.
- Experience leading or supporting operationally focused projects in client computing environments.
- Hands-on experience implementing and managing Windows Autopilot and post-provisioning automation.
- Experience with Windows 365 Cloud PC and/or Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Experience managing macOS devices using Jamf and Apple Business Manager or similar platforms.
- Experience developing automation through scripting or code-based solutions (PowerShell, Python, Bash).

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$98,010.00 - $119,790.00
