The Analytics Engineer joins the Product Analytics team to bridge the gap between the Life Insurance and Annuity business, analytics, and data engineering. This role focuses on delivering tools and AI solutions that enhance decision-making across CMD Product Development. Key responsibilities include developing and deploying generative AI applications, workflow automation, knowledge assistants, and decision-support tools. The successful candidate will design and maintain data models, pipelines, and Snowflake assets while partnering with Product Development Actuaries to translate business needs into scalable capabilities. Required technical skills include SQL, Python, Snowflake, and dbt, along with familiarity with large language models, prompt engineering, RAG, and machine learning. The role also involves building dashboards and championing best practices in analytics engineering, responsible AI, and data governance within a regulated financial services context.
Develop and deploy AI solutions including generative AI applications, workflow automation, and knowledge assistants.
Translate business needs from Product Development Actuaries into scalable data and analytics capabilities.
Design and maintain data models, pipelines, and Snowflake assets for reporting and AI tools.
Build and maintain Python and SQL-based solutions to automate processes and increase efficiency.
Create dashboards to drive quick decision-making across the CMD Product Development team.
Support AI initiatives from initial concept through deployment, adoption, and continuous iteration.
Champion best practices in analytics engineering, responsible AI, and data governance.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in analytics, statistics, data engineering, data science, machine learning, AI, or a related discipline.
Experience with SQL, Python, Snowflake, and dbt.
Familiarity with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, RAG, machine learning, and workflow automation.
Experience building dashboards, analytics products, or data-driven business solutions.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
Experience with platforms such as Snowflake Cortex, Streamlit, React, Microsoft Copilot, Claude Code, Github Copilot, Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx (preferred).
Experience developing AI assistants, copilots, agents, or other production-ready AI solutions (preferred).
