VLSI Design Engineer for Server / Data Center Products joins the ASICS Engineering group to support the development of high-performance ASICs for High Performance Compute and AI spaces. The engineer will oversee the definition, design, verification, and documentation of ASIC development for various products, specifically focusing on architecture design, logic design, large-scale design integration, and system simulation. Key responsibilities include executing design and verification strategies for SoC and IP cores while identifying flow improvements through automation. Required expertise includes knowledge of Server/Data Center IPs, protocols, and interfaces, alongside experience designing arithmetic, computational, and machine learning IPs. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in ASIC design, verification, validation, and integration, utilizing scripting for process automation to solve complex architecture and design problems within the latest process nodes.
Execute the architecture and design of SoCs using specific design protocols and tools.
Resolve architecture, design, and verification problems by applying sound ASIC engineering practices.
Execute design and verification strategies according to ASIC, SoC, and IP core specifications.
Determine architecture design, logic design, large-scale design integration, and system simulation.
Oversee the definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development across various products.
Identify areas for flow and process improvements through design techniques and automation.
Provide feedback on silicon learnings to the process team, design methodology, and IP/SoC design.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (preferred).
5+ years of relevant experience in ASIC design, scripting and architecture (preferred).
Proven knowledge in Server/Data Center IPs, protocols, and interfaces.
Experience in designing arithmetic, computational, or machine learning IPs.
Experience in developing tools and scripting for process automation is an advantage (preferred).
