The VLSI Design Engineer for Server / Data Center Products joins the ASICS Engineering team to support the development of high-performance ASICs for High Performance Compute and AI spaces. This role involves overseeing the definition, design, verification, and documentation of ASIC development for various products. Key responsibilities include determining architecture design, logic design, large-scale design integration, and system simulation while executing design and verification strategies for SoC and IP cores. The engineer will work with Server/Data Center IPs, protocols, and interfaces, specifically designing arithmetic, computational, and machine learning IPs. Required skills include ASIC and FPGA design experience, scripting for process automation, and knowledge of design techniques for speed and power efficiency. The role focuses on creating new architectures for next-generation data processing technologies.
Execute the architecture and design of SoCs according to provided design protocols.
Resolve architecture, design, and verification problems using sound ASIC engineering practices.
Execute design and verification strategies for ASICs, SoCs, and IP cores.
Determine architecture design, logic design, large-scale design integration, and system simulation.
Oversee the definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
Identify areas for flow and process improvements through design techniques and automations.
Provide feedback on silicon learnings to the process team, design methodology, and IP/SoC design.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Proven knowledge in Server/Data Center IPs, protocols, and interfaces.
Experience in designing arithmetic, computational, or machine learning IPs.
Experience in developing tools and scripting for process automation (preferred).
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (preferred).
5+ years of relevant experience in ASIC design, scripting and architecture (preferred).
