As an RF/Analog IC Design Engineer, you will join the RFIC Design team to define, design, and develop complex radio frequency integrated circuits within sophisticated SoCs and discrete RFICs. You will perform radio signal path and circuit topology analysis while executing detailed transistor-level designs for highly-integrated transceivers and associated blocks supporting 4G, 5G, WLAN, BT, and GPS standards using advanced process technologies. Your daily work involves running complex simulations to determine performance under various conditions, collaborating with layout engineers on floor-planning, and reviewing block-level test plans. You will utilize specialized tools including CADENCE, Virtuoso, and ADS to solve intricate architecture problems. The role focuses on the technical challenge of developing high-performance RF frequency synthesizers and signal processing components for wireless applications while ensuring all designs meet rigorous hardware requirements and performance specifications.
Design and develop complex radio frequency integrated circuits for 4G, 5G, WLAN, Bluetooth, and GPS standards.
Perform radio signal path analysis and transistor-level design of high-integrated transceivers and associated blocks.
Run complex simulations to determine circuit performance under various conditions using tools like Cadence, Virtuoso, or ADS.
Lead the floor-planning process and collaborate with layout engineers to perform physical verification on circuits.
Review block-level test plans and results while providing instructions for test engineers.
Analyze and resolve internal and end-customer issues by identifying and troubleshooting technical bugs.
Write detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex projects to guide users.
Propose new ideas and directions for next-generation RFIC designs based on industry trends and competitor analysis.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of RF/Analog circuit design experience and 4+ years of ASIC design or verification experience.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.
PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.
At least 2 years of academic or professional experience using two or more of the following tools: CADENCE, Virtuoso, and ADS.
Experience in transistor level design of RF analog integrated circuits, frequency synthesizers, digital control, signal processing, or EM simulation.
Experience in post-silicon characterization and working within a large matrixed organization.
Experience in technical leadership roles and interacting with senior leadership.
