What you'll do

  • Provide technical leadership for SoC and system architecture studies, product definitions, and implementation guidance.
  • Translate product and workload requirements into scalable SoC and system solutions.
  • Develop SoC and system models and specifications to drive feature-set requirements across technology and software teams.
  • Quantify system-level performance, power, area, cost, and memory bandwidth tradeoffs using analysis tools.
  • Correlate observed system performance with models to identify root causes of gaps and drive performance to closure.
  • Conduct competitive analysis across SoC, platform, compute, memory, and data center networking.
  • Identify areas for innovation and drive the development of new patents.
  • Provide team leadership and mentor technical contributors.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in system architecture technology areas such as Power Systems, Shared Resource Management, or Thermal Management.
  • Understanding of generative AI and machine-learning workloads, specifically Large Language Model inference and accelerator bottlenecks.
  • Knowledge of DRAM and memory-controller architecture, protocols like LPDDR, HBM, DDR, or GDDR, and emerging technologies.
  • Expertise in data center SoC technologies including RAS, ECC, security, networking (Ethernet/InfiniBand), RDMA, or chiplets.
  • Programming ability for architecture modeling and automation; object-oriented C++ and Python (preferred).
