Senior Director SoC Architecture - AI Accelerators leads rack-scale systems architecture and execution for data center platforms within the Data Center organization. This leadership role involves managing the full lifecycle of platform development from concept through validation and production readiness while mentoring senior technical teams across systems engineering and architecture execution. The successful candidate will drive hardware-software co-design, including firmware, telemetry, observability, and rack management to ensure reliability and scalability. Key responsibilities include establishing OCP-aligned designs, managing power and cooling integration, and driving the adoption of advanced technologies like CXL, composable infrastructure, and advanced interconnects. The role requires expertise in ASIC design, verification, and validation to solve complex problems in high-performance, energy-efficient server and AI infrastructure for hyperscale environments. Core competencies include cross-functional leadership across silicon, hardware, software, and firmware teams to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions.
Lead rack-scale systems architecture and platform direction for AI and data center roadmaps.
Own the design of compute, networking, power, cooling, and system integration components.
Establish OCP-aligned rack-level designs and industry-standard platform specifications.
Drive hardware-software co-design including firmware, telemetry, observability, and rack management.
Lead platform execution from initial concept through validation, production readiness, and deployment.
Partner with hyperscalers, OEMs, and ODMs to drive ecosystem adoption of new technologies.
Ensure systems meet reliability, scalability, manufacturability, and total cost of ownership targets.
Drive the adoption of next-generation technologies like CXL and advanced interconnects.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 10+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 9+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Experience leading rack-scale systems architecture across compute, networking, power, cooling, and system integration.
Experience driving hardware-software co-design including firmware, telemetry, observability, and rack management.
Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field (preferred).
15+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience (preferred).
15+ years of 4G/5G/6G systems and associated cellular standards (preferred).
4+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization (preferred).
4+ years of supervisory experience (preferred).
3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (preferred).
2+ years of working with operating budgets and/or project financials (preferred).
