The SoC Architect will lead the architecture of next-generation Adaptive SoCs, focusing on compute, memory, AI, high-speed I/O, power, and clocking. This role involves driving key silicon, package, and board-level decisions, specifically regarding I/O subsystem definition, PHY integration, signal and power integrity, and package-board co-design. The architect will define subsystems including processors, interconnects, AI engines, and GPUs while managing control architecture, reset flows, and security considerations. Required expertise includes heterogeneous compute systems, analog/mixed-signal IP integration, and high-speed SerDes, DDR PHYs, PCIe, CXL, Ethernet, USB, UCIe, and HBM technologies. The role solves complex technical problems in platform-level interface optimization to deliver scalable, high-performance, and power-efficient solutions for AI, data center, embedded, networking, graphics, and multimedia applications.
Evaluate system-level solutions for analog and mixed-signal IPs like high-speed SerDes, DDR PHYs, and PCIe/CXL PHYs.
Drive architectural decisions regarding signal integrity, power integrity, and package-board interactions.
Develop cohesive architecture solutions and execution plans in partnership with hardware, software, and validation teams.
Mentor engineers and contribute to the long-term technical direction of the architecture organization.
What we're looking for
BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience leading SoC architecture for complex processor-based systems with deep knowledge of processor, memory, interconnect, and I/O subsystems (preferred).
Deep expertise in heterogeneous compute systems and end-to-end system design spanning digital architecture and analog IP integration.
Experience with board-level architecture, platform design, signal integrity, power integrity, and package-board interactions (preferred).
Expertise in industry-standard interfaces and protocols such as PCIe, CXL, Ethernet, USB, UCIe, DDR, LPDDR, and HBM (preferred).
Expertise in SoC control architecture, reset design, clocking strategies, power management, and system bring-up (preferred).
Demonstrated success delivering high-performance, low-power SoC products from concept through production (preferred).
Knowledge of advanced process technologies and packaging approaches (preferred).
