As a WSoC PHY/MAC Validation and Integration Engineer, you will join the team responsible for the integration and optimization of physical layer components in wireless communication systems. Key technical skills include Python programming, constrained random testing, and performing RF parametric tests such as EVM and Rx sensitivity to ensure the performance of wireless connectivity solutions.

What you'll do

Design, integrate, and validate PHY layer components for wireless communication protocols like Bluetooth, Zigbee, and UWB.
Implement and optimize DSP algorithms for signal modulation, demodulation, filtering, and error correction.
Perform chip-level bring-up including power-on testing and debugging of PHY/RF/MAC functionalities.
Troubleshoot and resolve root-cause integration issues at the chip level.
Develop and automate directed PHY/MAC testing scripts to control RF test equipment and chips.
Validate and characterize algorithms on real silicon in coordination with RTL, PHY, and RF designers.
Bring state-of-the-art wireless communication system algorithms from initial bring-up to production state.
Create test plans and analyze results to identify and debug technical issues.

What we're looking for

Experience in wireless communications with a focus on PHY layer design and integration.
Solid understanding of DSP concepts and experience implementing algorithms in real-time systems.
Experience with chip-level bring-up and hardware debugging tools and techniques.
Experience with PHY/RF/MAC verification and RF parametric testing such as EVM, ACPR, and Rx sensitivity.
Proficiency with lab equipment including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and DMMs.
Python programming skills are highly desirable.
Knowledge of wireless protocols such as Bluetooth, WLAN, and UWB.
Bachelor's degree.
