As a Wireless Systems Validation Engineer within the Wireless Hardware group, you will join the Wireless Systems Design Validation Team to ensure wireless and PHY systems meet rigorous performance standards. Your daily work involves maintaining validation infrastructure and ensuring performance across parameters like Power Accuracy, Spurs, EVM, Sensitivity, Desense, RF/Baseband Performance, MIMO, and Coexistence. The role requires expertise in wireless communication systems, specifically WiFi, and proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, C++, or C#. You will also utilize RF test equipment such as signal analyzers and spectrum analyzers to address technical challenges at the intersection of silicon development and system deployment.

What you'll do

Develop and execute comprehensive test methodologies for wireless and PHY system performance.
Identify test requirements and troubleshoot complex technical issues with design engineers.
Provide data analysis to drive improvements in silicon and system designs.
Maintain validation infrastructure to ensure systems meet performance specifications.
Perform measurements for power accuracy, spurs, EVM, sensitivity, and desense.
Automate wireless system tests through the development of test frameworks.
Conduct regulatory testing for emissions, spectral masks, and power compliance.
Operate RF test equipment including signal analyzers and spectrum analyzers.

What we're looking for

A bachelor's degree is required.
An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is preferred.
Strong knowledge of wireless communication systems, specifically WiFi, is required.
Experience with cellular technologies is a plus.
Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Shell scripting, C++, or C# is required.
Deep understanding of RF and baseband signal impairments and key performance indicators is preferred.
Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up and wireless system testing in laboratory environments is preferred.
Experience with RF test equipment, regulatory testing, and automated test framework design is preferred.
