As a Wireless Systems Validation Engineer within the Wireless Hardware group, you will join the Systems Design Validation Team to ensure wireless and PHY systems meet rigorous performance standards. You will develop and execute comprehensive test methodologies throughout silicon development and deployment cycles while collaborating with PHY, MAC, and RF design engineers to troubleshoot complex issues and drive design improvements. Your daily work involves maintaining validation infrastructure and ensuring performance across parameters like Power Accuracy, Spurs, EVM, Sensitivity, Desense, RF/Baseband Performance, MIMO, and Coexistence. The role requires expertise in wireless communication systems, specifically WiFi, and proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, C++, or C#. You will also utilize RF test equipment such as signal analyzers and spectrum analyzers to address technical challenges at the intersection of silicon development and system deployment.

What you'll do

Develop and execute comprehensive test methodologies for wireless and PHY system performance.
Identify test requirements and troubleshoot complex technical issues during silicon development cycles.
Provide detailed analysis of performance data to drive design improvements with engineering teams.
Maintain validation infrastructure to ensure systems meet performance specifications across all critical parameters.
Perform measurements for regulatory testing, including emissions, spectral masks, and power compliance.
Operate RF test equipment such as signal analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
Automate wireless system tests through the design and implementation of custom test frameworks.

What we're looking for

A bachelor's degree is required.
An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is preferred.
Strong knowledge of wireless communication systems, specifically WiFi, is required.
Programming skills in Python, Shell scripting, C++, or C# are required.
Deep understanding of RF and baseband signal impairments and key performance indicators is preferred.
Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up and laboratory testing of wireless systems is preferred.
Experience developing and automating test frameworks for wireless systems is preferred.
Proficiency with RF test equipment like signal analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers is preferred.
