What you'll do

Identify opportunities for server component upgrades and manage hardware throughout its lifecycle.
Validate cabling, network environment builds, and ensure all connections are error-free.
Manage the ticketing system to assign work, troubleshoot issues, and document resolutions within SLAs.
Mentor less experienced technicians on best practices for power distribution and hardware troubleshooting.
Ensure all work complies with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Method of Procedure (MOPs).
Act as a technical liaison to identify and resolve risks regarding system reliability and availability.
Coordinate with vendors and project teams to test and validate electrical and mechanical systems.
Analyze trends and escalate recurring problems to senior peers or external experts.

What we're looking for

Must have 3 to 5+ years of experience in the field.
A 2-year or 4-year degree or relevant work experience is preferred.
Requires knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware systems and components.
Requires Linux administration knowledge and the ability to run Linux commands.
Requires at least 1 year of experience in structured cabling copper/fiber and testing.
Requires at least 1 year of experience in cooling and electrical systems concepts.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb a 9 ft ladder, and stand or walk for long periods.
Must be able to work 10-12 hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
