What you'll do

  • Lead the architecture, design, development, and production execution for FPGA and digital-hardware systems.
  • Create technical visions, staffing plans, and execution priorities for the digital-hardware engineering function.
  • Direct technical, schedule, and cost performance while reviewing key deliverables, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Guide the full design lifecycle from requirements definition through coding, simulation, synthesis, and production transition.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers through coaching and career-development planning.
  • Coordinate personnel, laboratory resources, and tools required for programs, proposals, and sustaining work.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align technology roadmaps with customer commitments and business priorities.
  • Lead analysis, test, and debug activities to validate designs and resolve technical risks.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree with 12 years of related experience, graduate degree with 10 years, or 16 years of experience without a degree.
  • Active or obtainable Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility).
  • Experience with VHDL or Verilog and implementation of complex modem or DSP circuits in programmable logic (preferred).
  • Experience with discrete-time DSP, digital communications, high-speed data paths, and error-correction codes (preferred).
  • Experience with high-speed serial interfaces, Ethernet, SPI, UART, SDRAM, DDR, JESD, and PCIe (preferred).
  • Experience with laboratory debug techniques using digital scopes, logic analyzers, and BERTs (preferred).
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and providing technical briefings to senior leaders (preferred).
