Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager / Staff Manager to lead our Record‑to‑Report (R2R) Finance ERP Systems capability. This is a senior IT leadership role requiring deep functional expertise in Accounting, Financial Close, and Consolidation, paired with strong experience leading enterprise‑scale financial systems.

This role serves as the primary IT leader for global R2R systems, with accountability for strategy, delivery, and operational excellence across General Ledger, Actuals & Consolidations, HFM, Fixed Assets, and Project Accounting. The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting mindset, has supported complex financial close cycles, and has led ERP and EPM programs in large, global, multi‑entity environments.

Key Responsibilities

Record‑to‑Report (R2R) Strategy & Leadership

  • Own and evolve the Record‑to‑Report systems strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with accounting policy, financial reporting, and enterprise transformation goals. This includes serving as a point of escalation and IT decision authority for R2R systems.
  • Act as the functional and technical IT lead for Qualcomm’s Cloud Financials strategy.
  • Lead execution of R2R initiatives including system enhancements, close optimization, ERP/EPM upgrades, and large‑scale transformation programs.
  • Serve as the primary IT executive partner to Corporate Accounting, Controllership, and Financial Reporting leadership. Financial Close, Consolidations & Actuals
  • Act as the IT systems owner for financial close and consolidation platforms, including:
    • Actuals processing
    • Legal entity and management consolidations
    • Intercompany accounting and eliminations
  • Provide hands‑on leadership and oversight for month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close from a systems and data perspective.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to reduce close cycle time, improve data quality, and increase automation and controls.

HFM & EPM Ownership

  • Lead IT ownership of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) , ARM, and DRM solutions supporting actuals, consolidations, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee system design, metadata, hierarchies, security, and integrations impacting financial reporting accuracy.
  • Support statutory and management reporting requirements across global entities.

Core R2R Modules & Accounting Domains

Provide leadership, direction, and system ownership across core R2R domains, including:

  • General Ledger (chart of accounts, ledgers, calendars, accounting configurations)
  • Fixed Assets Accounting (capitalization, depreciation, disposals, reporting)
  • Project Accounting (capital and expense projects, cost tracking, capitalization)
  • Accounting rules, controls, and audit support as they relate to system design and data integrity

Mergers, Acquisitions & Financial Integrations

  • Serve as the IT Finance lead for M&A activities impacting R2R, including:
    • Financial system integrations
    • Alignment of charts of accounts, calendars, and accounting structures
    • Consolidation of acquired entities into ERP and HFM
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance to ensure rapid, compliant post‑merger reporting.

Global Team & Delivery Leadership

  • Build, lead, and mentor a global R2R IT organization, including both direct and matrixed resources (internal and external), supporting ERP and related platforms.
  • Establish strong operating models, governance, and delivery standards for financial systems.
  • Provide clear accountability for production support, close readiness, and audit‑critical processes.

Cross‑System Integration & Data Integrity

  • Partner with upstream and downstream systems impacting R2R, ensuring data completeness and accuracy.
  • Drive best practices for finance data integrations, reconciliations, and controls across platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record of successfully migrating on-premise ERP and EPM solutions to the cloud across finance and accounting functions, with minimal disruption to financial close and reporting cycles."
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience supporting Accounting and Finance systems.
  • Deep functional expertise in Record‑to‑Report processes, including GL, close, consolidations, and statutory reporting.
  • Strong hands‑on experience supporting financial close cycles (month‑end, quarter‑end, year‑end).
  • Proven experience leading HFM and/or enterprise consolidation platforms.
  • Solid understanding of Fixed Assets and Project Accounting from both business and systems perspectives.
  • Demonstrated success leading ERP and EPM transformations, upgrades, or large‑scale enhancements.
  • Experience leading global teams and operating in complex, multi‑entity, multi‑currency environments.
  • Strong executive communication skills and ability to partner effectively with senior Accounting and Finance leaders.
  • Experience supporting internal and external audit requirements for financial systems.

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

  • Experience supporting additional finance modules such as:
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Revenue Recognition
    • Cost Accounting
  • Exposure to multiple ERP platforms over the course of a career.
  • Familiarity with adjacent finance systems including:
    • Treasury management systems
    • Expense management platforms
    • Additional EPM or reporting tools
  • Experience supporting Finance systems in public company, SOX‑regulated environments.
  • Background in high‑tech manufacturing or similarly complex global operating models.

• 8+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
OR
10+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

• 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
