The Staff Cyber Systems Engineer (Certified TEMPEST Professional Level I or II) joins the Systems Engineering organization to lead efforts within the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects team. The engineer will perform system level decomposition of TEMPEST or EMI/EMC requirements, develop sub-system design requirements, and support hardware design engineering to ensure compliance. Key responsibilities include authoring test plans and procedures, performing testing in accordance with NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92 and CNSSAM TEMPEST/01-02 standards, and mentoring trainees. Required skills include experience with bonding, grounding, shielding, filtering, and transient suppression, alongside proficiency using TEMPEST receivers, oscilloscopes, dynamic signal analyzers, and signal generators to solve complex electromagnetic interference problems.

What you'll do

Perform system level decomposition of TEMPEST or EMI/EMC requirements.
Develop TEMPEST or EMI/EMC design requirements at the sub-system level.
Support hardware design engineering to ensure compliance with TEMPEST and EMI/EMC requirements.
Contribute to the development of the TEMPEST Control Plan and E3 Integration and Analysis Report.
Author TEMPEST test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
Prepare and perform TEMPEST testing in accordance with NSTISSAM and CNSSAM standards.
Mentor TEMPEST trainees to support certification requirements.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, a Master's and 10 years, a PhD and 8 years, or a GED and 16 years.
Must be a certified TEMPEST Professional Level II or a Level I with the ability to achieve Level II.
Must have an active US Government Secret or higher clearance with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Must have experience with design for TEMPEST and EMI/EMC compliance and system level integration.
Must have experience with TEMPEST standards including NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92, CNSSAM TEMPEST 01-02, and related NSA technical memorandums.
Must have experience with TEMPEST test equipment such as receivers, oscilloscopes, dynamic signal analyzers, and signal generators.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
