Cyber Systems Engineer / Principal Cyber Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and assess security controls and processes to ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253.
• Document and implement system deployment plans in coordination with software development and cyber teams.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software deployments within CI/CD environments and at customer sites.
• Implement configuration changes for hardware, software, and networking components.
• Develop and execute security changes for environments seeking or operating under an ATO/IATT.
• Provide technical analyses of cyber infrastructure challenges and develop solutions to meet customer needs.
• Support the installation, checkout, and acceptance testing of systems at customer locations.

What we're looking for

• US Citizenship is required.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years or under continuous evaluation) is required.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) security clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer/Systems Engineering, IT, or related field with 2+ years experience, or a Master's in STEM (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer/Systems Engineering, IT, or related field with 5+ years experience, or a Master's in STEM with 3 years experience (preferred).
• Experience with SW/HW integration, troubleshooting, test principles, COTS SW/HW incorporation, and field support is required.
• Experience with HW and SW administration within a restricted program SW Development Life Cycle is required.
• Hands-on experience deploying and configuring Linux and/or Windows systems per DoD STIG requirements is required.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 certification) is required.
• Active DoD Top Secret SCI clearance (preferred).
• Experience with military Mission Planning Systems such as JMPS, AFMSS, and/or PFPS (preferred).
• Experience with cloud service providers like Azure and AWS (preferred).
