JOB TITLE: Sr Staff Cyber Systems Engineer The Sr Staff Cyber Systems Engineer joins the Mission Defense Cyber Team to provide leadership for the Sentinel program. In this role, you will lead systems engineering teams to develop and derive weapon system requirements using industry standards to ensure cyber survivability attributes are implemented in system designs. You will plan and execute systems-security-engineering efforts for complex systems of systems involving software and hardware. Key responsibilities include managing cost, schedule, and scope while ensuring compliance with CNSSI 1253, DoD 8140/8570, DoD 8510, and AFI 17-101. You will utilize skills in Agile, DevSecOps, and network technologies to solve complex problems. Required tools and competencies include DOORS, CAMEO, SonarQube, Fortify, and IASAE II (CISSP) certification.

What you'll do

Lead systems engineering teams to develop and derive weapon system requirements using industry standards.
Plan and execute systems-security-engineering efforts for complex systems of systems involving software and hardware.
Manage the execution of the statement of work, including cost, schedule, and scope responsibilities.
Ensure weapon system compliance with contractually obligated cybersecurity standards like CNSSI 1253 and DoD 8510.
Develop and document technical standard engineering processes, procedures, and cybersecurity assessment methods.
Lead engineering reviews of technical content for requirements, models, design, and quality prior to higher boards.
Report metrics, identify risks, and recommend solutions to maintain progress toward program milestones.
Solve complex problems across disciplines in an Agile, DevSecOps environment.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in a technical/science discipline with 14 years of relevant experience.
Master’s degree in a technical/science discipline with 12 years of relevant experience.
PhD in a technical/science discipline with 10 years of relevant experience.
Minimum 8 years of proven experience managing in a Systems Engineering leadership role with schedule, cost, and scope responsibilities.
Advanced knowledge of Systems Security Engineering practices, network technologies, and DoD system development life cycles.
Current/active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret w/SCI and SAP.
Possess IASAE II (CISSP) certification and the ability to obtain IASAE III certification within 6 months of hire.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
