Senior RF Comms Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Perform bring-up, integration, and debugging of advanced PHY/MAC and beamforming radio systems for satellite communications.
• Architect, document, and execute 3GPP-based testing for satellite-to-ground networks while coordinating with vendors on equipment requirements.
• Test Doppler pre and post compensation techniques in laboratory environments using channel emulators.
• Perform link budget analysis and verify RF line-up for payloads in both RF and IF configurations.
• Characterize system performance, analyze data, and root-cause complex system-level issues to ensure high product quality.
• Develop test bring-up procedures and automation scripts using Linux, Python, and Bash.
• Utilize lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and scopes to verify time and frequency requirements.
• Conduct verification and integration on FPGA platforms to ensure seamless wireless performance across hardware and software.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in the electrical engineering field.
• 7+ years of professional experience working in L1/L2 or beamforming.
• Experience with RF lab equipment, bring-up, test, and integration activities.
• Experience with verification and integration on FPGA.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• Master's or PhD degree with an emphasis in wireless communication systems (preferred).
• Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, and scripting languages like Python or Perl (preferred).
• Knowledge of 3GPP NTN, ORAN, LTE, 5G/6G, and various networking protocols (preferred).
