Senior RF Comms Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Perform bring-up, integration, and debugging of advanced PHY/MAC and beamforming radio systems.
• Architect and execute 3GPP-based testing for satellite-to-ground networks.
• Test Doppler pre and post compensation techniques in a laboratory environment.
• Trade link budgets and verify RF line-up for payloads in RF and IF configurations.
• Characterize performance, analyze data, and root-cause system-level issues to ensure product quality.
• Develop test bring-up procedures using Linux, Python, and bash scripting.
• Verify time and frequency requirements using signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
• Perform verification and integration of wireless systems on FPGA platforms.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or experience working in the electrical engineering field.
• 7+ years of professional experience working in L1/L2 or beamforming.
• Experience with RF lab equipment, bring-up, test, and integration activities.
• Experience with verification and integration on FPGA.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
• Masters/PhD with emphasis in wireless communication systems (preferred).
• Proficiency with modeling in MATLAB and/or C/C++ and experience in test automation scripting such as Python/Perl/Matlab (preferred).
