Senior Payload Integration & Test RF Communications System Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot satellite payload testbeds to validate hardware and software builds.
• Define test plans, procedures, pass/fail criteria, and KPI metrics for lab and RF chamber testing.
• Analyze and optimize RF systems including baseband modems, transceivers, and phased-array antennas.
• Implement and validate RF lab setups while analyzing complex RF link budgets.
• Configure and automate test equipment such as satellite link emulators, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshoot technical issues resulting from test failures.
• Document test results, coverage metrics, and performance data for developers and leadership.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in RF, satellite, aerospace, or related industries.
• 5+ years of experience in RF design, testing, and verification with launched products.
• Experience with RF payload satellite testing, system integration, and RF system analysis.
• Knowledge of communications theory and RF systems including S-parameters, MIMO, and spread spectrum.
• Hands-on experience with measurement equipment like spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, and network analyzers.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python or Bash) and dashboard development tools like SQL or Grafana.
