As a Solution Engineer - Cloud & AI Infrastructure, you will join the Azure Platform team to support commercial customers in designing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures. You will serve as a technical advisor, guiding organizations through migration, modernization, and optimization of core workloads including Windows, SQL Server, Linux, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. Your daily work involves translating technical capabilities into business outcomes by implementing the 6R strategy, containerization via AKS, and Azure-native services like Arc to support AI workloads. You will utilize a technical stack featuring Azure IaaS and PaaS, hybrid networking, VPNs, and secure routing. Additionally, you will integrate partner solutions from NetApp, VMware, RedHat, and SAP. The role focuses on solving complex infrastructure challenges by transitioning legacy systems into modern, high-performance environments while ensuring strict adherence to security and compliance frameworks.
Design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures using Azure IaaS and PaaS services for enterprise customers.
Lead customers through the migration of core workloads including Windows, SQL Server, Linux, PostgreSQL, and Oracle to Azure.
Guide organizations through modernization using containerization best practices, AKS, Arc, and AI-powered infrastructure solutions.
Design hybrid and cloud-native networking solutions involving virtual networks, VPNs, and secure routing architectures.
Conduct technical sales by delivering demonstrations and managing proof of concepts (POCs) to influence customer vision.
Identify customer pain points to co-develop production-scale solution architectures using Cloud Adoption Framework best practices.
Overcome competitor objections and manage technical escalations with internal engineering teams for product improvements.
Maintain deep expertise in enterprise platforms including SAP, Oracle, VMware, NetApp, and RedHat.
What we're looking for
Must have 5+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years.
Preferred candidates possess 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or technology delivery.
Preferred candidates have 6+ years of experience with cloud/hybrid infrastructure, architecture design, and migrations.
Experience is preferred with enterprise platforms including SAP, Oracle, NetApp, VMware, and RedHat.
Experience is preferred in designing solutions for hybrid networking, secure connectivity, and network performance optimization.
Preferred experience includes Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Platform, and containerization strategies.
Relevant certifications are preferred, specifically those related to Azure architecture, administration, networking, or security.
