The ServiceNow Platform Technology Lead joins the Technology End-User Services Team to serve as the technical conscience of the ServiceNow platform. This role involves defining technical architecture, setting development standards for update sets and scoped applications, and designing complex integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, MID Server architecture, and event-driven patterns. You will lead the transition toward configuration over customization to ensure the platform remains upgrade-ready while managing instance performance, security, and access design. Key responsibilities include mentoring developers, overseeing Flow Designer automation, and maintaining CMDB and CSDM best practices. The position requires deep expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture, ITSM, and instance optimization to solve enterprise-wide technical debt and provide a seamless digital front door for employee self-service and intelligent support capabilities.
Define the technical architecture and set development standards for the ServiceNow platform.
Lead the architecture for complex projects and review designs to prioritize configuration over customization.
Design enterprise integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, MID Server architecture, and event-driven patterns.
Monitor instance performance, retire technical debt, and lead platform upgrade and modernization planning.
Build the foundation for self-service, workflow automation, and intelligent support capabilities.
Mentor developers and administrators while providing architectural clarity during backlog refinement and sprint planning.
Solve complex platform issues and ensure the system remains scalable and upgrade-ready.
What we're looking for
6–10+ years of experience in IT.
4–6+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow.
BS degree or equivalent experience.
Experience implementing multiple ServiceNow modules across an enterprise and leading architecture on medium to large implementations.
Deep expertise in platform architecture, ITSM best practices, CMDB/CSDM, integration design, Flow Designer, scoped applications, and performance optimization.
