Software Engineer - ServiceNow Platform Engineer
As a member of the Technology organization, you will manage the design, development, configuration, and operational governance of the ServiceNow platform. You will build and maintain core modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog, CMDB, and Knowledge Management to ensure stable, scalable, and secure delivery of enterprise workflows across IT Service Management and IT Operations Management. Your daily work involves developing Flow Designer flows, business rules, UI policies, and server-side scripts using JavaScript. You will also design integrations using REST, SOAP, APIs, and MID Servers while managing data modeling and reconciliation for CMDB and CSDM implementations. To succeed, you must possess expertise in ServiceNow scripting, Glide API, and ITIL-based service delivery models. This role solves complex infrastructure and automation challenges to improve service delivery efficiency and ensure high system availability across production environments.
Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications using JavaScript and Glide API.
Configure core modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog, CMDB, and Knowledge Management.
Build automated workflows using Flow Designer, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts.
Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, and MID Servers.
Manage CMDB and CSDM implementations including data modeling, reconciliation, and discovery.
Perform platform maintenance tasks such as upgrades, patching, and release management across all environments.
Create dashboards, KPIs, and reports to provide visibility into service performance and risk.
Produce technical documentation for configurations, integrations, and platform standards.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of relevant professional experience.
Hands-on experience developing and supporting the ServiceNow platform.
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow scripting using JavaScript and Glide API.
Experience with ITSM and ITOM concepts and enterprise service workflows.
Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and various data sources.
Working knowledge of CMDB, CSDM, and service data models.
3–8 years of experience working with the ServiceNow platform in an engineering or development role (preferred); ServiceNow CSA, CAD, or Implementation Specialist certifications; and ITIL Foundation certification (preferred).
