As a Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineering, FPGA Engineer (FOS), you will join the hardware engineering team to lead the architecture, design, and development of next-generation Electronic Safe and Arm Devices for DOD weapon systems. The role requires proficiency in Verilog for logic design, C programming for embedded systems, and utilizing tools like QuestaSim, Logic Analyzers, and oscilloscopes. You will navigate complex technical challenges to ensure hardware-firmware quality and performance profiling within a fast-paced environment focused on developing advanced fuzing solutions for mission-critical defense technology applications.

What you'll do

Design and develop next-generation Electronic Safe and Arm Devices using state-of-the-art technologies.
Architect, design, and debug FPGA designs including sensor interfaces, communication protocols, and state machines.
Develop Verilog HDL targeting Antifuse and enhanced Flash FPGAs.
Perform SystemVerilog UVM verification for complex hardware designs.
Develop C# based microcontroller firmware and optimized C code for embedded systems.
Analyze functional issues and perform performance profiling in test environments or on target host systems.
Utilize lab tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG debuggers to verify hardware functionality.
Implement process improvements to ensure high quality and faster time-to-market for hardware and firmware products.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, a Graduate degree with 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Knowledge of Verilog for logic design and digital design principles.
Programming experience in C for embedded systems including algorithm development and data structure manipulation.
Experience using lab tools such as Logic Analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG/ICE debuggers, and protocol analyzers.
Familiarity with hardware, software, and firmware development methodologies like design verification, code reviews, and unit testing.
Familiarity with version control tools such as Subversion (SVN), GIT, or TFS.
Knowledge of SystemVerilog for verification with AVM, VMM, OVM, or UVM (preferred).
U.S. citizens.
