As a Senior Silicon Reliability Engineer within the product engineering group of the silicon development organization, you will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design and manufacture semiconductor solutions for satellite and ground terminal products. Your daily work involves reviewing process and technology selections, performing drift analysis from burn-in results, estimating FIT rates and MTBF for ASIC components, and managing the qualification of custom ASICs. You will utilize technical skills in semiconductor product engineering and foundry process operations to address reliability risks. This role focuses on solving critical hardware challenges for low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity systems within a complex orbital infrastructure environment.

What you'll do

Define and execute qualification plans for custom ASICs based on product specifications and mission profiles.
Identify and mitigate key reliability risks from foundry reports and technology selection.
Design, fabricate, and debug burn-in boards for SoC and multi-chip module products.
Develop test programs and activation profiles for stress testing in collaboration with design teams.
Manage relationships with lab vendors to execute qualification tests and validate hardware.
Perform drift analysis on burn-in results to determine ATE limit guard banding.
Identify root causes and implement fixes for failures reported during the qualification process.
Produce detailed qualification reports documenting results for internal and external stakeholders.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
7+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering or foundry process operations.
Experience in high-volume wireless SoC devices manufacturing (preferred).
Master's or PhD degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering or related field (preferred).
Excellent oral and written communication skills (preferred).
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
