Senior Reliability Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and implement reliability test plans for satellite hardware components.
• Perform stress screening and environmental testing to ensure hardware meets performance targets.
• Conduct failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) and identify potential design mitigations.
• Investigate manufacturing non-conformances and field failures to determine root causes.
• Utilize modeling and simulation tools to predict hardware performance and lifespan.
• Develop and maintain reliability prediction models and databases.
• Prepare detailed reliability reports and present findings to engineering management.
• Propose and implement process improvements to enhance program-wide reliability.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Materials, Reliability, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in hardware reliability engineering, preferably with satellite systems or space applications.
• Significant knowledge of reliability engineering principles, methods, and tools.
• Proficiency in failure analysis techniques and materials characterization methods.
• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
• Knowledge of environmental testing, including temperature cycling, vibration, HALT, and HASS.
• Familiarity with electronics (PCBs, PCBAs), moving mechanical assemblies, and manufacturing processes like SMT.
