As the Senior Facilities Service Manager - Electrical, you will lead an onsite electrical service and maintenance team responsible for the safe, reliable execution of activities across mission-critical power infrastructure. Reporting to the Facility Manager, you will manage technicians while building and leading an in-house self-perform maintenance program focused on uptime protection rather than system design. Your daily responsibilities include overseeing repairs for switchgear, UPS systems, batteries, generators, and distribution equipment, while ensuring strict compliance with NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout protocols. You will manage vendor performance, track maintenance KPIs, and coordinate with engineering teams to ensure operational readiness. The role requires expertise in electrical distribution infrastructure, troubleshooting, and team leadership within a high-risk environment. Key technical competencies include experience with CMMS systems, industrial power systems, and specialized equipment like breakers and relays.
Lead the onsite electrical technician team in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mission-critical power infrastructure.
Manage daily operations for technicians, including work prioritization, coaching, performance management, and technical development.
Build and lead an in-house self-perform maintenance program including procedures, training, and execution standards.
Oversee the maintenance of critical equipment such as switchgear, UPS systems, batteries, generators, and distribution systems.
Enforce electrical safety programs and ensure strict compliance with NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout protocols.
Manage vendor performance, service level agreements, and contract execution for electrical service scopes.
Track and report key performance indicators regarding maintenance execution, equipment health, and incident response.
Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure safe handoffs and operational readiness of installed systems.
What we're looking for
Must have 10+ years of experience in the relevant field.
Requires 3–5+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, critical facilities operations, or industrial power systems.
Requires 1–3+ years of experience leading technicians, electrical service teams, or field maintenance programs.
Must possess a strong background in electrical safety, maintenance execution, and structured incident response.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Technology, facilities management, or related fields (preferred); equivalent trade and leadership experience also valued.
Experience with mission-critical power infrastructure including switchgear, UPS, batteries, generators, and distribution equipment (preferred).
Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician license where applicable (preferred).
NFPA 70E training, OSHA 30, and NETA or NICET credentials are preferred.
