The role requires expertise in mechanical distribution systems, BMS controls integration, and refrigerant handling. You must navigate a high-availability environment where maintaining continuous uptime for critical infrastructure is the primary objective of your leadership.

What you'll do

Lead a team of technicians in maintaining and troubleshooting mission-critical cooling and HVAC systems.
Manage daily operations for the mechanical team, including work prioritization, coaching, and performance management.
Build and lead an in-house self-perform maintenance program to improve service execution and technician capabilities.
Oversee large-scale infrastructure such as chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and associated control interfaces.
Manage vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with SLAs, safety standards, and workmanship requirements.
Track system health and performance metrics to reduce repeat failures and improve equipment reliability.
Own mechanical safety programs, regulatory compliance, and technician training for refrigerant handling and safe work practices.
Drive continuous improvement in maintenance procedures, spare parts readiness, and documentation quality.

What we're looking for

Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Candidates should have 10+ years of experience in the field.
Candidates should have 3–5+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical service, or critical facilities maintenance.
Candidates should have 1–3+ years of experience leading technicians or service teams.
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC technology, or a related field is preferred.
EPA Section 608 Certification, an HVAC trade license, or OSHA 30 certification are preferred.
Candidates must have a practical understanding of large-scale cooling systems and BMS/controls integration.
Experience with mission-critical infrastructure such as chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, and cooling towers is preferred.
