As Senior Facilities Service Manager - Mechanical, you will lead an onsite team responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mission-critical cooling and HVAC systems supporting hyperscale data center operations. You will utilize skills in crisis management, technical leadership, and data-driven performance tracking to improve reliability. The role requires expertise in BMS controls integration, preventive maintenance, and refrigerant handling. This position solves the critical challenge of maintaining continuous uptime for large-scale infrastructure through disciplined execution and proactive mechanical service management.

What you'll do

Lead a team of technicians in maintaining and troubleshooting mission-critical cooling and HVAC systems.
Manage daily operations including work prioritization, coaching, and performance management for the mechanical team.
Build and lead an in-house self-perform maintenance program to improve service execution and technician capability.
Oversee large-scale infrastructure such as chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and associated control interfaces.
Manage vendors and contractors while enforcing SLAs, safety standards, and quality of workmanship.
Track system health and performance metrics to reduce repeat failures and improve equipment reliability.
Own mechanical safety programs, regulatory compliance, and technician training for refrigerant handling and safe work practices.
Support incident response, service restoration, and long-term maintenance planning to ensure 24/7 operational uptime.

What we're looking for

Must have 10+ years of experience in the relevant field.
Must have 3–5+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical service, or critical facilities maintenance.
Must have 1–3+ years of experience leading technicians, service teams, or field maintenance operations.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC technology, or related fields (preferred).
Experience with mission-critical cooling infrastructure including chillers, CRAH/CRAC systems, and pumps (preferred).
EPA Section 608 Certification (preferred).
HVAC trade license, mechanical certification, or OSHA 30 (preferred).
