Chief of Staff to SVP, Engineering Lead - Data Center (Senior Director) serves as a strategic and operational partner to the SVP BU Engineering Lead for Data Center BU Engineering. This individual will drive execution across AI inference processors, AI software enablement, server CPU, custom silicon, networking, hardware systems, and rack-scale engineering. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing operating cadence, coordinating cross-functional efforts between product, finance, and talent acquisition teams, and improving decision velocity. The role involves preparing executive communications, tracking roadmap alignment, monitoring performance metrics like budget and hiring goals, and identifying organizational bottlenecks. Candidates must possess strong technical and business acumen to navigate complex matrix structures while addressing challenges in semiconductor, cloud, AI, and data center environments. Key skills include project management, risk assessment, and the ability to influence senior leaders within a fast-moving engineering landscape.
Execute strategic initiatives across AI inference, custom silicon, networking, and hardware systems.
Manage the organizational operating rhythm including leadership reviews, roadmap alignment, and budget visibility.
Act as a primary liaison to coordinate communication between executive leaders and cross-functional teams.
Lead high-priority projects from concept to execution, including engineering buildouts and hiring priorities.
Establish and manage KPIs and dashboards to track milestones, risks, and organizational capacity.
Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks by developing practical solutions and driving clear ownership.
Prepare executive-ready communications, decision briefs, and follow-up action plans for senior leadership.
Evaluate risks across roadmap execution and customer commitments to enable informed decision-making.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or a related field and 12+ years of business operations experience.
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or a related field and 14+ years of business operations experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
15+ years of experience in engineering operations, strategy, product/program execution, or business operations within semiconductor, cloud, AI, data center, or infrastructure environments.
Prior experience as Chief of Staff, business operations leader, or executive operations partner supporting an SVP/GM-level engineering or business leader is preferred.
Strong technical and business acumen across AI hardware, software platforms, CPU, networking, custom silicon, and hardware systems.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, manage executive communications, and drive results in a fast-moving, matrixed global organization.
