Senior Datacenter Engineering Design Manager

What you'll do

• Manage engineering scope, schedule, and budget for greenfield, brownfield, and retrofit design projects.
• Oversee the delivery of building, power, cooling, telecom, and controls infrastructure.
• Lead the development of innovative technologies and advanced concepts from site due diligence through construction.
• Provide technical direction and decision-making for complex datacenter engineering designs.
• Manage multiple concurrent datacenter design solutions aligned with corporate capacity roadmaps.
• Coordinate teams of architects, engineers, and designers to meet project milestones.
• Perform feasibility and gap analyses for converting existing spaces into upgraded uses.
• Engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors specializing in datacenter architecture.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in engineering, architecture, construction engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team design and construction projects.
• Proficiency in commercial and industrial architecture and engineering with a focus on datacenter design.
• Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in engineering, architecture, or construction engineering.
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience leading cross-discipline engineering and architectural teams for design for construction projects.
• Preferred: Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license and PMP certification.
