Senior Data Center Design Mechanical Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary datacenter design projects including new construction, retrofits, and upgrades.
• Act as the primary interface between Oracle and partners for mechanical, controls, plumbing, and fire systems.
• Ensure all mechanical systems are properly designed, specified, and installed to provide robust operation.
• Provide expert input for contract administration, including the creation of contracts, change orders, and cost forecasts.
• Resolve complex, cross-functional technical issues through independent action and initiative.
• Develop and maintain best-in-class policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
• Mentor junior team members and develop training programs for new staff.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to provide technical guidance on engineering systems and safety practices.

What we're looking for

• Must have 10+ years of experience in the relevant field.
• Must possess professional qualifications in mechanical engineering.
• Must have extensive experience designing and delivering mission-critical facilities.
• Must possess expert operating knowledge of engineering systems, including advanced diagnostics and repairs.
• Must demonstrate expert-level communication skills for technical writing and cross-functional coordination.
• Must be able to lead and manage project initiatives and mentor junior team members.
• Must have the ability to solve complex, cross-functional issues requiring independent action.
• Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
