Senior Data Center Design Mechanical Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead and manage project design and engineering initiatives for datacenter construction, retrofits, and upgrades.
• Serve as the primary technical interface between Oracle and partners regarding mechanical, controls, plumbing, and fire systems.
• Ensure all mechanical systems are properly designed, specified, and installed to provide robust operation for Oracle facilities.
• Provide expert input for contract administration, including the creation and review of contracts, change orders, and cost forecasts.
• Solve complex, cross-functional engineering issues independently and recommend system-level enhancements to eliminate potential problems.
• Develop and maintain best-in-class policies, procedures, and technical documentation for datacenter operations.
• Mentor junior team members and develop training programs for new employees within the engineering department.
• Act as a subject matter expert to provide technical guidance on complex mechanical systems and infrastructure.

• Must have 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Must possess professional qualifications in mechanical engineering.
• Must have extensive experience designing and delivering mission-critical facilities.
• Must have expert knowledge of mechanical, controls, plumbing, and fire systems.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must demonstrate expert-level communication skills for technical writing and cross-functional collaboration.
• Must possess expert-level knowledge of safe working practices and industrial safety standards.
