TL;DR · Senior Datacenter Product Development Engineer

As a Senior Datacenter Product Development Engineer, you will join the engineering team to productize new GPU boards for server architectures with GPU-accelerated clusters. You will manage products through their entire lifecycle, focusing on production ramps, defining test requirements, and optimizing production lines to meet cost and quality metrics. Your daily work involves developing diagnostic tests for high-speed signals, debugging complex hardware, firmware, and software interactions during boot, and collaborating with contract manufacturers to define assembly lines. The role requires expertise in server architectures, CPU baseboards, and GPU technology. You will utilize skills in PCIe, InfiniBand, Ethernet, I3C/I2C, SPI, USB, FPGA/CPLD implementation, and firmware secure-boot. Technical proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, and Linux tools is also valued to solve yield problems and automate testing for high-performance computing environments.

What you'll do

  • Develop and debug diagnostic tests for high-speed signals on next-generation GPU boards.
  • Debug complex hardware, firmware, and software interactions during system boot processes.
  • Ensure compliance with DFx requirements for signal integrity across layout, mechanical components, and assembly procedures.
  • Manage products end-to-end through the lifecycle to ensure successful production ramps.
  • Define manufacturing test specifications to meet hardware coverage, quality, and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers to optimize assembly lines, test stations, and fixtures for cost and throughput.
  • Analyze volume data and conduct lab experiments to resolve yield and testing issues on the production floor.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to minimize waste and meet specific test time and DPPM targets.

What we're looking for

  • BS/MS in EE, CE, CS, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in HW design, diagnostics/validation, or manufacturing test of ASIC chips, boards, and systems.
  • Proficiency in hardware interfaces including PCIe (Gen4+), InfiniBand, Ethernet, I3C/I2C, SPI, and USB.
  • In-depth understanding of HPC server architecture and Out-of-Band management.
  • Familiarity with FPGA/CPLD implementation, FW secure-boot, and encrypted images.
  • Expertise in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and institutionalizing root-cause analysis.
  • Experience defining test and validation specifications for complex HW systems or HPC servers.
  • Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, and AI tools for hardware testing automation and log parsing.
