What you'll do

  • Manage comprehensive safety, health, environmental, and sustainability programs to ensure regulatory compliance and company standards.
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessment processes, including FMEA and environmental impact evaluations, to identify mitigation strategies.
  • Implement and maintain management systems such as ISO 14001 to drive operational excellence and compliance readiness.
  • Manage wastewater quality strategies by reviewing engineering designs and ensuring alignment with environmental regulations.
  • Lead Process Safety Management (PSM) practices and foster engagement across cross-functional teams to embed best practices.
  • Deliver training programs for employees and contractors regarding safety, onboarding, and specialized compliance courses.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits while tracking and resolving corrective actions in collaboration with leadership.
  • Oversee emergency response preparedness, including medical readiness and crisis coordination, to minimize operational disruptions.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety, or a related technical discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years in a safety, environmental, or operational compliance role within a manufacturing setting with leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven expertise in health and safety regulatory frameworks, environmental compliance protocols, and sustainability practices in large-scale industrial operations.
  • Knowledge of management systems such as ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 (or ISO 45001), and OSHA VPP.
  • Technical acumen in wastewater treatment, industrial hygiene, and Process Safety Management principles.
  • Proficiency in using analytical tools, data visualization, and digital monitoring systems to track performance.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or REM (preferred).
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and food or beverage manufacturing environments (preferred).
