The Program Manager I joins the Armament Systems/Ammunition organization within the Weapons Systems sector to oversee the Advanced Ammunition Portfolio. This role involves managing production and product development programs for Airburst, Proximity, Guided, and Advanced Ammunition Technology. The manager is responsible for the full program lifecycle, from proposal development and contract negotiation through execution and closeout. Daily responsibilities include leading cross-functional Integrated Program Teams, managing cost, schedule, and technical performance, and ensuring adherence to Earned Value Management methodologies. The candidate will coordinate business plans, manage supplier relationships, and conduct risk and opportunity management. What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience OR a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts or project management.
5 years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost, and achieving all requirements as a project lead, IPT lead, or cost account manager.
Basic competency in Project Management skills and toolsets.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Degree in a science, engineering, or business program (preferred).
Experience with Direct Commercial Sales, Foreign Military Sales, and International contracts (preferred).
Experience in aerospace/defense, Department of Defense, NASA, PMP certification, Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies (preferred).
