As a Principal Process Engineer / Customer Technologist, you will serve as a key technical leader and trusted advisor to advanced semiconductor manufacturers. Your daily responsibilities include designing customer demonstrations, managing beta programs, executing technology transfers, and providing executive-level presentations on technical roadmaps. To succeed, you must possess expertise in semiconductor process development, yield improvement, and NPI experience within Logic, DRAM, NAND, or Advanced Packaging domains. You will utilize tools such as JMP, Minitab, SPC, and statistical analysis to optimize processes. This role addresses critical challenges in the semiconductor industry by bridging the gap between complex hardware interactions and customer requirements to accelerate the adoption of next-generation technologies.

What you'll do

  • Resolve complex semiconductor process and technology issues using advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to strategic customers to drive process optimization and long-term partnerships.
  • Design and execute customer demonstrations, technology evaluations, beta programs, and joint development activities.
  • Support new technology introductions and technology transfers while customizing solutions for specific customer applications.
  • Act as the voice of the customer to influence product strategy and identify critical technology gaps.
  • Present technical roadmaps and business recommendations to customer executives and senior leadership.
  • Build strategic relationships with manufacturers to evaluate emerging technologies and accelerate adoption of next-generation solutions.
  • Drive knowledge sharing and best practices across global teams to improve product performance.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Semiconductor Engineering is required.
  • A Master's degree or PhD is preferred.
  • 8 to 15+ years of experience in semiconductor process engineering or technology development is required.
  • Experience with customer-facing support for wafer fabrication accounts is required.
  • Experience in technology transfer, process integration, yield improvement, and NPI is required.
  • Expertise in Logic, DRAM, NAND, or Advanced Packaging is required.
  • Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOE) using JMP, Minitab, SPC, and statistical analysis is required.
  • Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis, 8D, FMEA, Fishbone, and hardware/process interaction troubleshooting is required.
