Process Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop process flows by breaking down complex assemblies into logical subassemblies and sub-processes.
• Create manufacturing documentation including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements for scalable production.
• Partner with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable processes for both quick-turn development and large-scale production.
• Build prototype hardware hands-on alongside technicians and other engineering team members.
• Contribute to the mechanical and electrical design of end-customer hardware, including interconnects and board fabrication.
• Travel to suppliers to perform initial sourcing, resolve production issues, and implement quality procedures.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver process improvements in resource-constrained environments.
• Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills with backing examples.
• Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware through machining, fabrication, soldering, or assembly.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science (preferred).
• PCBA fabrication experience including SMT processes (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with R/C or autonomous flight vehicles and software scripting experience (preferred).
