Principal Platform Software Engineer As a Principal Platform Software Engineer, you will join the Identity and Access Management team to provide technical leadership in designing, building, and operating highly distributed, large-scale cloud services. What you'll do

Design and build highly distributed, large-scale cloud services that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
Lead the evolution of middleware patterns and runtimes to standardize interoperability across multiple teams.
Define and enforce versioning, deprecation, and rollout strategies to minimize downstream impacts.
Establish shared observability baselines, including SLOs and error budgets, for various services.
Conduct performance profiling and optimization to build scalable solutions and resolve complex API issues.
Implement secure coding practices and ensure adherence to architectural standards and compliance frameworks.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on software architecture and development best practices.
Drive automation, testing, and debugging processes to ensure high availability for mission-critical systems.

What we're looking for

BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of software development experience.
Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C#, or other object-oriented languages.
Proven experience delivering high-scale, distributed services in a production environment.
Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and system design.
Experience operating mission-critical, Tier-1 live services.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence architectural direction and engineering best practices.
Domain expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) (preferred).
Experience building and operating services on public cloud platforms like OCI, AWS, or Azure (preferred).
Knowledge of multi-region deployments and multi-AD/AZ architectures (preferred).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, test-driven development, and containerization technologies such as Docker (preferred).
Knowledge of threat modeling, secure development practices, and compliance frameworks like FedRAMP or PCI DSS (preferred).
