Principal Engineer, Core Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Architect and lead the development of scalable, elastic distributed systems for high-throughput workloads.
• Design fault-tolerant components using redundancy, replication, and automatic failover mechanisms to meet SLOs.
• Implement load-shedding, throttling, and rate-limiting to manage network unreliability and system performance.
• Build telemetry systems, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms to monitor system health and identify performance gaps.
• Design and execute complex validation tests, including fault injection and brown-out scenarios, to ensure correctness.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues while providing guidance during incident response and root cause investigations.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools for patching, updates, and rolling back applications.
• Implement security controls, encryption, and access management to protect data in multi-tenant environments.

What we're looking for

• Applicants are required to read, write, and speak English.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience is required.
• Experience designing and architecting scalable, elastic distributed systems is required.
• Experience optimizing code and data paths for high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads is required.
• Experience designing fault-tolerant systems using redundancy, replication, and failover is required.
• Experience implementing load-shedding, throttling, and rate-limiting to handle network unreliability is required.
• Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation for cloud infrastructure is required.
• Experience implementing security controls, encryption, and access controls in multi-tenant environments is required.
