Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer

What you'll do

• Architect and develop scalable, elastic distributed systems to support high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads.
• Optimize code and data paths for large-scale retrieval, storage, and processing using data plane platforms.
• Design fault-tolerant systems featuring redundancy, replication, failover, and automated load-shedding to meet SLOs.
• Establish KPIs and build custom dashboards and alerting systems to monitor system health proactively.
• Conduct complex validation testing including fault injection and brownouts to ensure system correctness and durability.
• Resolve production issues through proactive troubleshooting and participate in incident response rotations.
• Implement security controls, encryption, and compliance documentation for multi-tenant environments.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools to manage cloud infrastructure and deployment cycles.

What we're looking for

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or related fields.
• Experience designing and architecting scalable, elastic distributed systems for high-throughput workloads.
• Ability to implement robust security controls and maintain compliance documentation for cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripts for system management.
• Experience building telemetry systems, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms to monitor system health.
• Ability to perform proactive troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Capability to mentor peers and contribute to the talent development pipeline through candidate interviews.
