As a Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer, you will join the team to lead the development and architecture of scalable, elastic distributed systems. You will be responsible for designing fault-tolerant components that support high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads while ensuring data integrity through replication and synchronization. Your daily work involves optimizing code and data paths, establishing telemetry and KPIs, and building proactive monitoring dashboards. To ensure operational readiness, you will perform complex validation like fault injection and manage incident response. The role requires expertise in C/C++, DPDK, Linux kernels, and device drivers to solve problems related to high-concurrency systems and data plane architectures in networking devices. Additionally, you will implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated cloud management while ensuring robust security controls and compliance within multi-tenant environments.
Architect and develop scalable distributed systems that support horizontal and vertical scaling using distributed state management tools.
Optimize code and data paths for high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads and large-scale data processing.
Design fault-tolerant systems featuring redundancy, replication, failover mechanisms, and load-shedding to ensure reliability during network instability.
Establish KPIs and build custom dashboards and telemetry systems to proactively monitor system health and performance.
Create complex validation scenarios including fault injection and brownouts to ensure data integrity and system correctness.
Proactively diagnose, debug, and resolve production issues while mentoring peers on incident response and root cause analysis.
Implement robust security controls, encryption, and access management for multi-tenant environments.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripts to manage cloud infrastructure and streamline deployment processes.
What we're looking for
Must have 6+ years of experience in engineering, architecture, or development/operations.
Must possess strong experience working on data plane architectures in networking devices.
Must have strong experience with high-concurrency systems.
Must have experience designing and optimizing high-performance network solutions using DPDK and C/C++.
Must have experience with Linux OSes/kernels, device drivers, performance testing tools, and distributed debugging tools.
Must possess expert knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts and technologies.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Must demonstrate strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills in a team environment.
